1.5. Heating (conditioning) and salon ventilation

Systems of ventilation, heating and the air conditionings established on the car, effectively operate at the closed windows and represent the uniform complex providing the most comfortable conditions in the car irrespective of weather conditions and ambient temperature. The temperature in salon is regulated by mixing of cold and hot air. The block of cooling of central air reduces temperature and humidity of air, clears it of a dust. The heater raises air temperature at any working hours of system.

The complex provides the quick-response regulation of air temperature which practically is not depending on speed of movement of the car. The amount of air arriving in salon generally is defined by an operating mode of the fan therefore it needs to be included even in movement time with high speed.

External air can arrive in salon through windows of doors at the lowered glasses and the airsupercharger located before a windscreen. Air from the airsupercharger can arrive in car salon through nozzles обдува a windscreen, lateral and central nozzles, and also through the bottom nozzles of the case of a heater.

Volume, temperature, the direction and intensity of air streams regulate the switches established in the control unit by system of heating (conditioning) and ventilation.

For change of temperature of air arriving in salon rotate the handle of a regulator of temperature. The dark blue label of a scale corresponds to supply of most cooled air, red — the most warmed-up. At average position of the handle in salon air moves at ambient temperature.

For increase in intensity of supply of air in salon during movement and ensuring supply of air in the motionless car include the switch handle one of four operating modes of the fan of the airsupercharger.

For change of the direction of supply of air choose as the handle of a regulator of distribution of streams of air one of the following options (clockwise):

– supply of air in the top part of salon (through lateral and central nozzles of the dashboard);

– supply of air in the top and bottom parts of salon (through lateral and central nozzles of the dashboard, and also through the bottom nozzles of the case of a heater);

– supply of air in the lower part of salon (through the bottom nozzles of the case of a heater);

– supply of air on a windscreen (through nozzles обдува a windscreen).

It is possible to establish the handle of a regulator in intermediate provisions for more exact control.

For cooling of the air arriving in salon of the car, press the button of turning on of the conditioner (if it is established on the car). At turning on of the conditioner in the button the control lamp will light up. For conditioner switching off repeatedly press the button (the control lamp will go out).

Note The conditioner will not turn on, if the switch of operating modes of the fan is established in situation "0" (the fan is switched off). It is not a malfunction sign, and is provided by a design.

Prevention Turning on of the conditioner in engine operating time under trying conditions (and so forth) can lead long liftings, heavy city traffic to an engine overheat. Watch indications of the index of temperature of cooling liquid: if the temperature exceeds admissible value, switch off the conditioner. At long trips in the conditions of city movement overall performance of the conditioner can decrease because of a busy thermal schedule of the engine. It is not a malfunction sign, at movement in normal road conditions the conditioner will work still effectively.

For inclusion of a mode of a retsirkulyatsiya press the corresponding button (in it the control lamp will light up). At the included mode of a retsirkulyatsiya external air does not arrive in salon, and the fan of the airsupercharger provides air circulation in salon. This mode use for fast warming up of salon in a cold season, and also at the raised dust content and an air gas contamination.

Prevention Long inclusion of a mode of a retsirkulyatsiya is not recommended during car movement as it usually leads to a zapotevaniye of glasses.

Depending on various combinations of turning on of switches of the control unit the system of heating and ventilation works in the following main modes:

– maximum mode of cooling. It is used in hot weather and after long parking on the sun for fast cooling of air in salon. In this case before turning on of the conditioner it is recommended to open for a while windows to remove from salon warm air. The conditioner and a mode of a retsirkulyatsiya of air should be switched on;

– normal mode of cooling. It is used at trips on the city and in the country at moderately warm weather. The conditioner should be switched on, the retsirkulyatsiya mode — is switched off;

– ventilation mode. It is used for salon airing. Speed of operation of the fan of a heater can be changed at will;

– maximum mode of heating. It is used at very low ambient temperature and for fast warming up of air in salon after long parking. The conditioner should be switched off, and the retsirkulyatsiya mode — is included;

– normal mode of heating. It is used in a cold season for maintenance of optimum air temperature in salon after its intensive warming up in the maximum mode of heating. The conditioner and a mode of a retsirkulyatsiya of air should be switched off;

– a mode of removal of moisture or hoarfrost from a windscreen. It is used for fast elimination of a zapotevaniye of glasses at the increased humidity of air. The conditioner should be switched on, and the retsirkulyatsiya mode — is switched off;

– mode обдува windscreen and glasses of forward doors. It is applied to prevention of a zapotevaniye of glasses at the increased humidity of air. The conditioner can be included or switched off. The mode of a retsirkulyatsiya should be switched off.

Note In order that glasses did not mist over in rainy weather, include a mode them обдува at the switched-off heater as the difference of values of temperature of a surface of glass and submitted air can cause moisture condensation.

Good advice For more effective action of ventilation and heating at speed of movement of the car less than 50 km/h and at journey of especially dusty sites of roads with the closed windows (for creation of superfluous pressure of air in the salon, preventing подсос a dust) we recommend to turn on the switch the heater fan for small or maximum speed. For the accelerated elimination of a zapotevaniye of back glass and release it from fly and snow include glass heating. If you do not use the conditioner long time, it is necessary once a week for a while to include it at the working engine for restoration of a layer of greasing on details of the compressor and consolidations.
