4.2.3. Check of level and a dolivka of cooling liquid

It be required to you: cooling liquid, a funnel, a pure rag.

Notes

The manufacturer recommends to apply cooling liquid (antifreeze) on a basis этиленгликоля productions ESSEX and Shell.

Do not mix some liquid of different color and different producers. If it is necessary for you to add cooling liquid, but you do not know brand of the liquid filled in in system, replace all liquid in cooling system.

Apply production only the checked manufacturers. Remember that application of bad quality cooling liquid leads to expensive repair of the engine!

Before the beginning of work establish the car on an equal surface.

Preventions

Check level of cooling liquid only on the cold engine.

Cooling liquid is toxic, therefore at work with it observe precautionary measures.

Do not pour liquid in a tank above «MAX» label as at operation of the engine its volume will increase.

At engine start-up the stopper of a broad tank should be densely closed.

Good advice

Constantly watch level of cooling liquid. Its sharp decrease or increase should become a signal for immediate check of system of cooling of the engine.

If svezhezality antifreeze suddenly unexpectedly quickly changed color on brown, means, to you sold a fake in which "forgot" to add corrosion inhibitors. As soon as possible replace liquid while she did not manage to corrode cooling system.

Prevention

Stopper of a broad tank wrap densely. At the working engine the broad tank is under pressure therefore from under poorly wrapped up stopper cooling liquid can begin to flow or a stopper can break.
