8.3.1. Removal and installation of a steering wheel

You will need a face head «on 24».

1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.

2. Establish a steering wheel in the situation corresponding to rectilinear movement of the car.

3. Remove the module of a safety cushion of the driver (see. «Removal and installation of a safety cushion of the driver»).	4. For convenience of return installation mark the provision of a steering wheel concerning a shaft.

5. Weaken an inhaling of a nut of fastening of a steering wheel to a steering shaft, holding a steering wheel from a provorachivaniye.

Prevention Nut of fastening of a wheel completely do not screw together from a shaft, differently at wheel removal by hands it is possible to put to itself a trauma in case of its sharp detachment from a shaft.

Good advice To fix a steering wheel from a provorachivaniye it is possible by means of the locking mechanism of the anti-theft device of the lock of ignition. For this purpose take out a key from the lock of ignition and turn a steering wheel till shaft fixing by the anti-theft device. After weakening of an inhaling of a nut of fastening of a steering wheel disconnect the anti-theft device, having inserted a key into the ignition lock, and again establish a steering wheel in the situation corresponding to rectilinear movement.

6. In sharp blows of hands bring down a steering wheel from shliyets of a shaft...	7.... finally unscrew a nut of fastening of a steering wheel...

8.... also remove a steering wheel, having passed a plait of wires in an opening of its nave.

9. Establish a steering wheel and the removed details as it should be, the return to removal.
