9.10.2. Replacement of cables of a drive of the parking brake

Cables of a drive of the parking brake replace at their excessive pulling (impossibility of adjustment of the parking brake), mechanical injuries of veins of cables or their covers.

Note Each brake mechanism of back wheels is given by a separate cable. Operations on removal and installation of cables are shown on an example of the left cable. The right cable remove and establish similarly.

It be required to you: two keys «on 10», пассатижи, a screw-driver with a flat edge.

1. Remove a back part of facing of a tunnel of a floor (see. «Removal and installation of facing of a tunnel of a floor»).	2. Weaken a lock-nut inhaling...

3.... and, holding cables from a provorachivaniye, unscrew adjusting nuts.	4. Remove a brake drum (see. «Removal and installation of drums of brake mechanisms of back wheels»).

5. Remove a back brake shoe (see. «Replacement of blocks of brake mechanisms of back wheels»).

Note The tip of a cable of a drive of the parking brake can be disconnected, without removing a back brake shoe, but for convenience of installation we recommend it to remove.

6. Disconnect a cable tip from the razzhimny lever and remove a back brake shoe.	7. Deduce a cable braid from the holder in the body basis...

8.... and beams of a back suspension bracket.	9. Take one tip of a cable from an opening of a protective guard of the back brake mechanism...

10.... and the second — from an opening in the body basis...	11.... also remove a cable.

12. Establish a cable of a drive of the parking brake as it should be, the return to removal.
