5.16.7. Removal and installation of thermoscreens

In engine operating time the system of production of the fulfilled gases heats up to high temperature. Therefore at strong mechanical damage or considerable corrosion of the thermoscreens established over elements of system, surely replace them. Besides decrease in level of comfort in salon, malfunction of thermoscreens can lead to ignition of a thermonoise isolation of a body floor as converter of the fulfilled gases heats up to temperature over 600 °C.

It be required to you: a key «on 13», a screw-driver with a flat edge.

For removal of the thermoscreen of a final collector execute the following.

1. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the thermoscreen to a final collector...	2.... also remove the thermoscreen of a final collector.

3. Establish the thermoscreen of a final collector as it should be, the return to removal.

For removal of the thermoscreen of converter of the fulfilled gases and the additional exhaust silencer execute the following.

1. Remove the additional exhaust silencer (see. «Replacement of the additional exhaust silencer») and converter (see. «Replacement of converter of the fulfilled gases»).

2. Unbend up to three fixing moustaches of each of six fixing washers of the thermoscreen...	3.... turn out fixing washers...

4.... also remove the thermoscreen.

5. Establish the thermoscreen of converter and the additional exhaust silencer as it should be, the return to removal.

For removal of the thermoscreen of the main exhaust silencer execute the following.

1. Remove the main exhaust silencer (see. «Replacement of the main exhaust silencer»).

2. Turn out four fixing washers...	3.... also remove a forward part of the thermoscreen.

4. Turn out two fixing washers...	5.... also remove a back part of the thermoscreen.

6. Establish the thermoscreen of the main exhaust silencer as it should be, the return to removal.
