5.9.1. Removal, defektovka and camshaft installation

The camshaft is established in an opening of the bearings executed in a body of a head of the block of cylinders, and fixed by a persistent flange. The camshaft influences valves through the yokes established on hairpins in the top part of a head of the block of cylinders and fixed by nuts through holders of yokes.

It be required to you: the same tools, as for removal of a belt of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism (see. «Replacement of a belt of a drive of the gas-distributing mechanism and its tension roller»), covers of a head of the block of cylinders (see. «Replacement of laying of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders»), and also a face head «on 13», a key «on 13», a dinamometrichesky key.

1. Establish the piston of the 1st cylinder in the provision VMT of a step of compression (see. «Installation of the piston of the first cylinder in the provision VMT of a step of compression»).

2. Remove a gear pulley of a camshaft (see. «Replacement of an epiploon of a camshaft»).

Note It is possible to replace a camshaft, without removing a head of the block of cylinders. In this subsection replacement of a camshaft is for descriptive reasons shown on the removed head of the block of cylinders.

3. Unscrew a fastening nut...	4.... remove from a hairpin a yoke with the holder...

5.... also take the hydrojack.

6. Similarly remove other yokes and take girokompensator.

7. Turn out two bolts of fastening...	8.... remove a persistent flange...

9.... also take a camshaft from a body of a head of the block of cylinders.

Prevention At each removal of a camshaft replace an epiploon new.

10. Examine a camshaft. On a shponochny flute and a carving part on a sock of a shaft there should not be damages and wear, and in a pro-point under a persistent flange — traces of excessive wear and забоин. Surfaces of basic necks and cams should be well polished, without damages. If there are traces of jammings, an overheat, deep risks or steps from wear, replace a shaft.

Prevention Polishing of cams of a camshaft for elimination of step wear is forbidden, as at change of the sizes of a profile of cams gazoraspredeleniye phases will be broken.

11. Measure height of a profile of cams (the size between top and an occipital part of a cam) and compare to the nominal size specified in tab. 5.1.

12. Measure diameters of basic necks of a camshaft and their bearings, calculate gaps in bearings of the shaft, differences defined by a half between diameters of bearings in a head of the block of cylinders and diameters of necks (tab. 5.2 and 5.3). At the wear exceeding admissible, replace a camshaft on repair as repolishing of necks for the repair size is not provided.

Prevention At installation of a new camshaft of a yoke of valves replace new. Before the first start-up of the engine and for improvement of conditions extra earnings it is recommended to add a protivozadirny antifrictional additive in engine oil.

13. Establish the camshaft greased with engine oil in a body of a head of the block of cylinders. Establish all earlier removed details as it should be, the return to removal.

Prevention To start up the engine after installation of a camshaft it is possible not earlier than in one hour, this time is necessary for hermetic polymerization.

14. Adjust a tension of belts of a drive of the generator and the conditioner compressor (see. «Check of a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator and the conditioner compressor»), and also the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering (see. «Check and adjustment of a tension of a belt of a drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering»).
