10.4.4. Check of level of electrolit in the storage battery

Periodically, not less often than once in two weeks check electrolit level in battery elements.

Note At batteries with the general for all elements a cover equipped with a condenser cavity, it is allowed to check electrolit level once in two months.

Electrolit level should be in all elements between «MIN» and «MAX» labels put on translucent case of the storage battery. If labels are not present, level of electrolit should be higher than the top edge of separators on 5–10 mm.

Good advice Electrolit level over the top edge of separators is convenient for checking a glass tubule, having lowered it in an element against the stop in a separator and having closed the free end of a tubule a finger.

For restoration of level of electrolit add only the distilled water. If it is precisely established that the reason of low level is the vypleskivaniye, add electrolit of the same density, as remained in a battery element. If level is higher than norm, pump out electrolit a rubber pear with an ebonitovy tip.

Prevention To add in the storage battery the concentrated acid it is strictly forbidden!
