5.14.10. Adjustment and replacement of a cable of a drive of a butterfly valve

If the butterfly valve not completely opens (the engine does not give full capacity) or is closed (idling turns are unstable), at first try to adjust a cable of a drive of a butterfly valve. If adjustment of a drive of a butterfly valve it is impossible to achieve complete opening or closing of a butterfly valve or the drive jams, replace a drive cable.

It be required to you: a key «on 10», пассатижи.

1. For visual control of moving of a butterfly valve weaken a collar of fastening and disconnect airbringing sleeve from a branch pipe of throttle knot (see. «Removal and installation of the air filter»).

2. At completely pressed pedal of an accelerator (it the assistant should make) check the provision of a butterfly valve — it should be completely open, and at the released pedal of an accelerator — is completely closed. Otherwise the drive is necessary for adjusting.	3. Remove from a cable tip a spring bracket...

4.... and tip moving in an arm opening forward achieve, that the butterfly valve was completely closed. At not completely opening zaslonka tip moving achieve back, that the zaslonka completely opened. Fix a cable tip in new situation, having inserted a bracket into its corresponding flute.	5. For replacement of a cable of a drive of a butterfly valve take out its tip from a groove of sector and disconnect a cable from throttle knot.

6. Deduce a tip of a cover of a cable from an opening of an arm of throttle knot.	7. Turn out a bolt of fastening of an arm of a cable of a drive of a butterfly valve to the inlet pipeline.

8. In salon under the dashboard take a cable tip together with the plug from an opening of a pedal of an accelerator.	9. Remove the plug from a cable tip.

10. Extend a cable in podkapotny space through an opening in a front board.

11. Establish a cable as it should be, the return to removal.

12. After installation adjust a cable tension (see subitem 1-4).
